Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are your services and how are they different from other dental practice management firms?
A: For 30 years we have been helping dentists in the upper Midwest prosper and dentists all around the country deal with PPOs.
Our approach is very customized. Our job is to help clients reach their practice goals. Although we know how to set up good dental systems (collections, recall, treatment follow up, etc.), we adapt our recommendations to each office’s particular situation. “If it ain’t broke, we don’t fix it.” That way, we can spend the time on working with you and your team in areas that will yield the greatest results.
Q: How much do your services cost?
A: They usually range from $2,000 to $20,000 for general consulting clients, with the most common first-year fee of $16,000.
For clients requesting we work with them to balance their PPO participation (e.g., cut back on discounts – “lose the discounts and keep the patients”), the analysis fees generally range from $3,000 to $7,000. A year of support through PPO transition(s) is $15,000 to $22,000.
We never lock clients into contracts. You can stop or change the pace of your consulting support any time and we will adjust the fees accordingly.
Q: What kind of results should I expect?
A: Our general consulting clients’ average production gains of over 20%. The clients keep those gains and add to them for years to come. Typically, our fees come to less than 2% of a practice’s production and our clients enjoy return on that many times over.
Our PPO clients often experience increases in collections of tens of thousands of dollars per month. Even if we help a Doctor just peel off a couple minor PPOs, it can add several thousand dollars of pure profit to the bottom line, the first year and for years to come.
Q. Will I have to “hard sell” my patients?
A. Absolutely not! It’s been our experience that consulting firms often treat you the way they want you to treat your patients. If the firm is expensive, applies heavy sales pressure and uses a canned approach, that is what they will want you to do with your patients.
That is absolutely not how we approach things. We know that you didn’t go to Dental School to be a salesman. Yes, case acceptance and patient follow through is important but there are proven ethical low key ways to take more of an advisory approach (vs. a sales approach) that get great results and allow everyone to sleep well at night. You don’t have to be anyone other than who you are.
Q. How can I be sure that you’ll be right for my practice?
A. Well, for one thing, if we aren’t, you can fire us anytime! We never lock our clients into contracts. So, we guarantee that you’ll be happy with our services or you can stop anytime. We are very comfortable being held accountable by you for results. Plus, you and your staff will be comfortable in the process we use to get those results.
A. Because we work with your particular strengths, your philosophy, your talents and resources to get the outcome you want. It works best. It feels best.
Q. Do you have references?
Q. Do you do consultations outside the Upper Midwest area?
A. We do if we feel it’s a good match.
